I grew up going to the chiropractor. We went for all kinds of things like aches pains, colds, the flu or just for general health. We went all the time. No one in my family was a chiropractor but my mom just believed in the whole-body health chiropractic provides.

I can remember in high school first wanting to become a chiropractor by observing the lifestyle and practice that the Chiropractor we grew up with had. He made his own hours. He worked as much or as little as he wanted, usually more than he should have. He had all the toys and fun things that success brought. He knew a lot of people. He helped a lot of people. He saw a lot of different people. All of that combined drew me to Chiropractic.

I can say that I always felt better after going to visit the chiropractor and it kept me healthy growing up. Truth be told, the primary reason I wanted to become a chiropractor was the income and lifestyle. I think this is why I always love hearing the miracle stories that other chiropractors experienced.

When I attended Chiropractic College in 1994 I did not need a bachelor’s degree. However, I am now quite thankful that I ended up getting my Bachelor of Science degree through Palmer College of Chiropractic. By doing so it allowed me to get my license here in Florida. By paying Palmer an extra fee it allowed me to acquire the B.S. degree. I received that on the same day that I graduated with my Doctor of Chiropractic.

I started practicing with my mentor for 13 months from December 1997 to February 1999. I then left to open my own private practice in Peoria, Illinois. I practiced in Peoria until 2010. I was tired of dealing with insurance companies, work comp and personal injury so I decided to sell my practice in Peoria and move onto something else

After selling my practice, I opened, managed and operated CrossFit Peoria until October 2012. I became certified in mobility, weightlifting, and endurance along that path. I learned a lot about myself and movement which has helped me in practice to this very day. I also came up with the membership style business model during that time. I still practiced out of my home with a few patients here and there.

Once I devised this model and sold my CrossFit Peoria it was full steam ahead starting November 13, 2012 in East Peoria, Illinois. It was the practice of my dreams. For multiple reasons, we decided to sell that practice and move to Cocoa Beach, Florida. I ended up selling that practice on August 9 of 2021.

While vacationing multiple times to the Space Coast we fell in love with Cocoa Beach and decided to live where people vacation. Since being here, we have plugged into the community and plan on getting more involved. Our kids love Roosevelt Elementary and Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School. We have a second child enrolled at EFSC as well.

In March of 2022, I started up Walk-In Chiropractic in Cocoa Beach, Florida where I hope to finish out the rest of my time here on earth with another practice of my dreams. I also dream of helping other chiropractors in similar circumstances.

More on a personal note, I also love to work out. Having owned a CrossFit gym, I love the methodology but still try a lot of other methods. I love kettlebells on the beach at sunrise. I explore body weight primal movements, just ask. We are a beach family so we spend a lot of time in the sand and ocean. Fishing in the river is always an adventure along with kayaking. Chasing around kids to different sports is a big family hobby.
